PICNIC areas, a cycleway, a pedestrian boardwalk (pictured right) across the river and public artwork incorporating Aboriginal river stories are some of the improvements possible under the Lachlan River Precinct Master Plan adopted by Cowra Shire Council at its meeting this week.
A boardwalk, 1.9m wide, is planned to abut the downstream side of the low-level traffic bridge.

Keynote speaker and Emotional Fitness program founder Cynthia Morton touched the room with stories of her own personal experiences dealing with overcoming such issues and how she had helped thousands of others to do the same.
Ms Morton said she had a hard upbringing by a chronic alcoholic father and a paedophile next door.

Epiphany Lutheran marking 85th year: New artwork to be dedicated on Sunday
Members and friends of Epiphany Lutheran Church will gather
Sunday morning to celebrate the congregation’s 85th year in
southwest Racine. And when they do, they will dedicate new
liturgical artwork created by local artisans for the church’s
sanctuary, in honor of the anniversary.
Designed to look like stained-glass windows, the two large
paintings decorate the walls on either side of the church’s
chancel. Each one depicts an event from the Epiphany season and –
together with the real stained glass window in the chancel’s center
– they form a triptych, or three-paneled format commonly used for
Christian altar paintings...
OCAF showcases black history with artwork
An exhibit featuring artwork from several black artists at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation in Watkinsille will bring viewers in contact with veteran artists who have honed their skills for years to the work of emerging young artists.
I think there are about 65 pieces. There is a lot of great art here. Its going to be a fun exhibit, said Joe Ruiz, OCAF director. The exhibit is OCAFs effort to observe Black History Month in February and draw attention to local artists, according to Ruiz.

CINCINNATI A Cincinnati art studio is featuring an exhibit of some of the regions notable steel artists, including one from Liberty Twp.
Brazee Street Studios Gallery One is hosting the art exhibit Cincinnati Steel, which runs through March 2, features steel artwork from 11 area artists one of those artists is Pattie Byron of Liberty Twp.
A steel sculptor for 11 years, Byrons work focuses on communicating and addressing social issues regarding subjects such as gender, body image, poverty, AIDS and abuse.
