THE music industry may have undergone a seismic shift in the last decade as downloading music became the norm but Youtube hasnt yet replaced the live music experience and there are still plenty of opportunities for creative business brains.
Newcastle-based Generator, which over 20 years has become the countrys biggest music business development group, is rolling out one of its flagship services across nine cities.
The organisation, which has worked with more than 250 music enterprises in the region over the last two years, has seen a strong demand for its Managing a Music Business Enterprise course.
The course trains fresh talent in the management, production and publishing side of the business and helps steer expanding enterprises in the right direction.
After a successful pilot in Gateshead, it is now being run in London and is to be launched in cities including Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol and Norwich.
Generator chief executive Jim Mawdsley said: Were running it in London at the minute.
